Parochial Church Council
The Parish of Swindon New Town is a registered Charity and is part of the Church of England. The key challenge was to reduce the cost of printing whilst maintaining high-quality colour output and access to additional functionalities including fax and scanning. Ease-of-use and access to good customer services were also integral factors.
Key Print Assessment Findings
The postage process was costly and time-consuming. A large proportion of their customer base require paper copies of their monthly bills, with over 4,500 letters sent every month. The postage process took six people three days to print, stuff and send the customers’ bills.
Solution
Nustream implemented an award-winning Solid-Ink solution which included integrated scanning and fax facilities. An engineer was on-site on the day the printer arrived, who installed the printer and configured all PCs to ensure that the office was left with an up-and-running solution.
The three-tier colour billing functionality delivered exceptional quality documents whilst reducing cost of production. The small footprint of the Solid Ink solution meant that extra space was gained on the incumbent device.
The Council were able to benefit from the environmentally conscious features and design considerations generating up to 90% less printing waste than comparable laser printers. The five consumable components to replace the device is easy to maintain without the need for any technical knowledge, which suited the Parochial Church Council’s needs.
Results
The result of the solution was a 29% reduction in printing costs, reduced environmental impact of printing, ease-of-use and maintenance of device, and an integrated solution saving physical space.
